Help Celebrate Earth Day Monday, April 22
The California Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery has published its annual Earth Day events calendar to help Californians take action toward a more sustainable future. On Earth Day and throughout April and May, local events ranging from family-friendly activities to community service projects and cleanups give every Californian the opportunity to get involved.
Free EPA Webinars for Water Quality Professionals
The Environmental Protection Agency Water Quality Modeling Workgroup is hosting a series of free webinars. The purpose is to help water quality professionals better understand surface water quality modeling and how models can be used to solve common problems that face water quality regulators.
The webinars are focused on modeling as it applies to the total maximum daily load, standards and water quality permitting programs. The information is applicable to a wide range of audiences. The two-hour webinars cover everything from modeling basics to applied water quality modeling of different pollutants.

CASA Awards Deadline Approaching
CASA seeks to recognize members who provide essential public services and go above and beyond to protect public health and the environment. Member agencies and associates are invited to submit an Award of Excellence application by May 17. More information about the award criteria and categories is available on the website.
Award recipients will be honored at the CASA Annual Conference in San Diego.

Central Valley Clean Water Association Annual Conference Scheduled for May 15
The CVCWA Annual Conference is on May 15 at the SASD/Regional San Office Building in Sacramento. It provides valuable wastewater industry insight and information for city managers, public works directors, council and board members, regulators, consultants and wastewater industry professionals.
