Boundary Maps Submissions Due on December 31
This is a reminder that the sanitary sewer system boundary map submittal for existing enrollees under Sanitary Sewer Systems General Order is due on December 31, 2025. The Sanitary Sewer Systems General Order requires submittal of geospatial data detailing the sanitary sewer system service area boundary for each system identified by a Waste Discharge Identification (WDID) number. The Electronic Sanitary Sewer System Service Area Boundary Map Specifications and the Guidance Document can be utilized to ensure timely submission. A legally responsible official or a data submitter who has CIWQS account credentials related to the sanitary sewer system may upload the boundary, but a legally responsible official must certify. To submit and certify the system boundary and confirm location of associated wastewater treatment plants:

  1. Go to: https://s4l.waterboards.ca.gov/s4l/login
  2. Use CIWQS account credentials (user ID and password) to log in
  3. Follow instructions on the Guidance Document
