F.O.G. Talk

In the wastewater sector, we all know that the holiday season is synonymous with F.O.G., so as you gear up to spread the message with your customers, we wanted to share some materials created by the Responsible Flushing Alliance (RFA). The RFA developed a F.O.G. Activity Book  that is available for agency use. Inside the activity book you’ll find activities such as:

  • Make-Your-Own F.O.G. Can
  • A F.O.G. rap song
  • Coloring sheets for the “Do Not Pour” and “Do Not Flush” signs, and a matching sheet for signs and symbols

These activities are designed for children in grades Kindergarten- 6  and it’s also available in Spanish! Please feel free to tailor to your communities as you see fit.

Today’s Youth are Tomorrow’s Leaders: Consider Donating to the CEF
The holidays have arrived and with them comes the opportunity to donate to the causes that mean the most. The CASA Education Foundation helps ensure clean water for Californians by awarding scholarships to promising students on a path to serving the environmental community. Your support helps to further our mission through education as an investment in the next generation of environmental professionals.

With no funding received from outside sources, the foundation relies 100% on individual and organizational donations. In 2023, the CASA Education Foundation presented $5,000 scholarships to four worthy students including the Bruce Wolfe scholarship recipient. Thank you for all who have donated in the past. To learn more or donate visit the webpage.

Giving Thanks
With the holiday season approaching, CASA staff wanted to share how thankful we are for you, our members, for your daily service and for simply being a great group of people. Happy Holidays to all!

From all of us here at the CASA office, we hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving!!
