CASA LEAD will continue to be developed and refined in the months and years to come and will ensure that we continue to do our part in cultivating the next generation of clean water professionals.

CASA is pleased to offer the CASA Mentoring Program, a member exclusive benefit under our broader CASA LEAD strategic initiative. This 11-month comprehensive program kicking off in October and concluding in August 2025 serves to connect clean water professionals from across the state of California.

There are limited spots available, and a methodical selection process will be used to ensure diverse representation. Working with Core Consulting, which has a depth of experience developing mentoring and training programs working with public agencies, CASA will match 12 mentor/mentee pairs based on professional goals, preferences, and experience.
Resources, check-ins and structure are provided to set your mentoring relationship up for success.

- Having been a key part of transferring experience and knowledge to the next generation to ensure talent engagement and sustainability for this critical industry
- Commitment and expectations:
- Participants can expect a total time commitment of approximately 20-25 hours over the course of 11 months.
- Total program time frame: October 2024 through August 2025
- Two mandatory virtual requirements:
- Kick-off/networking event (October)
- Program orientation (October)
- Two optional in-person events
- Networking meet-up at CASA Winter Conference (January)
- Wrap-up and networking session at CASA Annual Conference (August)
- Nine, one-on-one meetings, monthly, Nov 2024 thru July 2025 (can be virtual or in-person)
- Provide program feedback at three milestone check points:
- Late January 2025: Via survey
- Early March: Via 45-minute virtual Zoom session w/full group (one session for mentees; one session for mentors)
- Late July: Via survey
