CASA Innovative Technology Seminar – Wrap Up
Thank you to everyone who joined us last week for CASA’s Innovative Technology Seminar in Northern and Southern California. We were thrilled to bring together thought leaders and professionals from the water sector for two days of insightful sessions and inspiring tours.
In Orange County, participants had the privilege of touring the Orange County Sanitation District, guided by Rob Thompson, the General Manager. Rob provided a compelling narrative of the district’s history, highlighting the progress made over the last 30 years and sharing the forward-looking vision that includes cutting-edge technologies like Supercritical Water Oxidation and Deep Well Injection. His presentation offered a deep dive into the agency’s dedication to sustainability and innovative solutions for the future of water management.
In San Francisco, attendees were treated to a fascinating look at Epic Cleantec’s pioneering work in circular water systems. CEO Aaron Tartakovsky shared the company’s journey and how they’ve been breaking new ground with in-building greywater and blackwater systems. Their systems are now being integrated into high-profile buildings like Salesforce Tower and the Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills, pushing the boundaries of water reuse in the urban environment.
Both stops highlighted how technology and vision are shaping the future of water management, offering participants valuable insights into the future of water recovery and sustainability.
